As adults, we're pretty bad at feeding ourselves...so many of us are chronically under or over feeding ourselves! Well no more, we're fixing it...
Why should we care?
Keeping a stable blood sugar is vital for a happy body. Maintaining homeostasis in the body is key if you want to perform your best.
With a demanding work/life balance hanging on by a thread we don't need to chuck being hangry in the mix. But let's face it, AINT NOBODY MAKING A DAMN SWEET POTATO LUNCH AT 7AM 👎
The idea of food prep is to keep you fuelled - so how do we do it?!
First of all assess your habits what meals do you struggle most to get in? When is the hangry beast at its most potent? Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner?
If it's all 3 you'll need to be more stealthy with your planning 🤌
Next we need to plan some meals these need to be meals YOU LOVE not that nasty cold broccoli with dry ass rice 👎
Examples:
Breakfast:
Oats
Milk
Chia seeds
Goji berries
Chopped fruit
PB
Lunch:
Precooked rice
Ready to eat salmon
Precooked mixed veg
Dinner:
Pre-roasted Sweet Potato
Spicy chickpeas
Mixed veg
Avocado
All of these can be batch cooked + easily last you most the week already made! That being said, this is why you need to ENJOY what you make else you ain't gonna eat it!
What to aim for with each prep...
You need:
Carbs ✅
Fats ✅
Protein ✅
By making complete meals you'll be satisfied for longer + will make it to your next meal without raiding the vending machine for a large bag of haribo to see you through!
